Lakers waive Johnathan Williams and Scott Machado to trim their roster to 16, including their two two-way players.

It obviously is the end of the preseason but the Lakers players have had a lot of fun with each other on the bench tonight. And all the core players have been on their feet at times cheering for the guys on the floor finishing out the game. It's still early and the Lakers have a lot of bonding and chemistry to build but they look like a team that enjoys being around each other as the preseason comes to an end.

Stephenson swings at Cook, gets ejected (0:58)

The Lakers have watched Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson get ejected from the game tonight. After Stephenson was fouled by Quinn Cook, Stephenson flung his arm to get Cook off him. After reviewing the play, the officials gave Stephenson a tech and then announced his ejection. Draymond Green shared another moment with LeBron James, laughing from the Warriors side of the court before the two hugged and laughed some more.

LeBron James and Rajon Rondo, seated next to each other on the bench, are not playing but have been acting basically as two more assistant coaches. The two constantly talk to their teammates and the coaching staff during breaks. And the two Lakers leaders have been talking to each other on the bench, occasionally sharing thoughts after certain plays. During one timeout, Rondo and James were talking with Michael Beasley about what they saw on the court.

Upon walking into the arena, LeBron James ran into Steve Kerr and greeted the head coach with a big smile and big handshake. The two had a friendly chat catching up.

Luke Walton said Brandon Ingram took a knee to his quad in the last game. The Lakers holding him out did not sound like anything more than the team being cautious. Walton said Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had tendinitis flare up and he was back in Los Angeles to receive treatment.

Lonzo Ball will start alongside Lance Stephenson, Kyle Kuzma, Michael Beasley and JaVale McGee tonight against the Warriors.

LeBron James (rest) will not play in tonight's preseason finale. Brandon Ingram (quad) and Rajon Rondo (rest) also will not play. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is not with the team as he receives treatment for tendinitis.
