From Day 2 of minicamp: Rookie Jayln Holmes, who has a broken right hand, was able to go through the motions on the blocking sled in practice, but was getting those air reps in at DE. He's expected to be ready for training camp, according to Mike Zimmer, when his transition to defensive tackle will pick back up.

Kirk Cousins said the two interceptions he threw in the red zone period were still bothering him when he left practice and doesn't want to go into the break on a low note: "Right now I'm pretty salty walking off the field. I'm really frustrated. I do not want to walk into the summer with a bad taste in my mouth about practice. Hopefully we can finish really strong tomorrow and be feeling good going into the summer. Even one bad decision in practice kind of bothers me all afternoon and I can be a bit of a grouch when I go home. That one bothered me. Adam (Thielen) was frustrated with a couple plays himself. He was sitting in his locker pouting with me so we were having a little pity party with each other just now before I came out here."

Vikings are alerting fans today that they've adopted mobile entry for home games, meaning all tickets will now solely be available digitally via a smart phone, iPad, etc. Nearly half of the ticket allotment is transferred for every game. The transition allows fans to transfer their tickets immediately via text or email. Since 2014, Minnesota began to move away from using printed tickets. Fans who don't have access to a mobile device are encouraged to call the Vikings ticket office to find a solution.

Vikings rookie Hercules Mata'afa tore his ACL during the team's second OTA of the week on Wednesday, according to reports from NFL Network and DraftAnalyst.com. Sounds like the injury occurred on special teams - an area where Mata'afa was thought to be a candidate to make a push for a roster spot. Minnesota moved the Washington State UDFA to linebacker (he was a DT in college) when he arrived for rookie minicamp in May before switching him to defensive end ahead of OTAs.

This week marks the first time Dalvin Cook has participated in 11 on 11 and other full-team drills this offseason. It's the first time he's been back on the field in an organized setting since he tore his ACL: "I've been feeling good but this week was another milestone in the rehab. Getting back out there with the team a little bit. This was a milestone for me just to get back out there and get some things done. I've been feeling great, though."

After missing last week's voluntary offseason workouts/practice, Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr was back for OTAs on Tuesday. A video from the Vikings' official twitter account showed Barr during drills as the team got back to work after the holiday weekend. The Pro Bowl linebacker is scheduled to play the 2018 season on his fifth year option and could be the next in line for a contract extension. Minnesota re-signed his linebacker counterpart Eric Kendrick's to a new deal in April.

Dalvin Cook went through individual drills and did work on the rehab field when the team got together for 11 on 11, etc. Mike Zimmer said Cook was "ahead of schedule" with his rehab last week and could see some action during the latter portion of OTAs around the time of mandatory minicamp. "I think he'll probably get some work and then should be ready to roll for training camp," Zimmer said.
