John Clune, who represents the Uber driver who accused Jameis Winston of groping her, told me that Ronald Darby's statement to investigators differed from what he tweeted out initially. "We understand that [his] statement to the league was that he no longer recalled the Uber ride in question and that his text messages show that he was still outside the International club as Winston was finishing the ride."

Uber driver: Glad to see discipline for Winston

The Uber driver who accused Jameis Winston of assaulting her has released a statement saying she is glad the NFL disciplined the Bucs quarterback.

The list of big ticket free agents signed by Bucs GM Jason Licht who have not come close to finishing out their contracts: Michael Johnson (five years, $43.75 million), Anthony Collins (five years, $30 million), Bruce Carter (four years, $17 million) — gone after one year. Now J.R. Sweezy (five years, $32.5 million) gone after two.

Buccaneers release starting RG Sweezy

Right guard J.R. Sweezy, who was due to make $6.5 million after starting 14 games last season, has been released by the Buccaneers.

I'm told that J.R. Sweezy has been officially cleared to resume football, per a source. He'd missed all offseason recovering from the leg injury.

Bucs are only slightly more likely to miss the playoffs, according to the Westgate. Following news of Jameis Winston's three-game suspension, Bucs now -600 to miss. They were -550.
